Firehouse backup radios. Lead By: NJ8BB
Para has been preparing multiband radios to be deployed to the firehouses in the county upon any major emergency. Upon deployment these radios will insure a reliable and fast means of communication back to the emergency management office as well as other fire districts to aid in real time cordination.

Emergency communications trailer Lead By: KB4MSU
One of Paras most important tools is it's emergency communications trailer. The trailer is a 1960 Trotwood moble home. Since purchasing the trailer many years back, many members have invested time into doing small modifications in order to make it work. The problem with that was it was done by many people and was not done in any specific order. In January one of the club members completely gutted the entire trailer and started from the ground up. New 120v and 12v wiring was installed throught the trailer, a new desk was constructed allong with many new storage options. All new panelling was put up and all the existing cabinets were refinished. The interior is just about done. When this is complete the exterior will be tackled next. Along with fresh bodywork and paint, the exterior of the trailer will recieve new lettering, a new set of electric jacks for support, a set of antenna mounts, and most impressive a 40-50 telescoping tower. Schedualled completion of this project is set for May 2007 just in time for Hamvention.

ATV oh yea Lead By: NJ8BB
Our next exciting project to come will be to bring to life an amateur television repeater system. Using handheld amateur television cameras, first responders will capture real timne footage of incidents as they happen. This footage will be sent to an amature television repeater system, using the 70 cm band, we will construct at our current repeater site. This new repeater will use the 1240 mhz band to send the information out over the air. Our next and most important part of this project will be located at the EMA office outside of Eaton. On the Tower outside of the building we will point a directional corner beam antenna back to the repeater in order to receive the signal. Once it is recieved at the EMA a down converter will be used to display the images up on thier television sets. This footage will be used for imedate desision making and for training purposes. This will greatly increase the ability to respond to incidents in the county and beyond.
